Everwar Credits

The pictures used around the web site have been taken from multiple places including fantasy web-sites, friends drawings, and even other graphical fantasy based games. We do not take credit for any image we have used and we thank the artists that have taken such great care to design such wonderful depictions of what will become our new world.

All my life, it seems I have been mudding. There is no avoiding it -- graphical games just haven't caught up to the feeling of an "alternate reality" that my imagination can provide in a textual world. Rites of Passage and their website helped with Everwar in small but noticeable ways.

I wish to make this clear... I have no ties to RoP aministration or their great MUD. I take absolutely no credit whatsoever in the grueling time it took to create, maintain, and administrate such a successful MUD. When building our world, I redid the entire map "skeleton" based on RoP2 links. During this process we redid nearly every room name, mobile, item, and all descriptions. We also added additional rooms and corrected geographical mistakes in the original map layout.

The most compelling reason this was done was to provide old players with an instant connection to a new MUD. It also gave us a solid world, great story lines, and many quest opportunities. The RoP immortal staff did not provide us their areas. Everything you see was laboriously redone by hand, imagination, and from scratch. In the end, I borrowed many ideas from their team and I think this MUD will be much better for it... I thank them.

Gardenia and Nichademus especially deserve special thanks when it comes to RoP and their hard work, their desire to find good solid code, players, and to provide us each with a fair place to play and enjoy our free time. Enjoy this website and please take a few minutes the next time you talk to a RoP admin to thank them. They deserve a lot more kindness (actually, all administrators do) then we tend to extend them as players. I hope to see their MUD up and alive once again, after all... I need a place to play!
